Dr. Sylvia Wingo is a Board Eligible general pediatrician. Following college at Oklahoma Baptist University, Dr. Wingo completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine – Tulsa in the spring of 1990. She then completed a residency in general pediatrics also at OU COM-Tulsa in 1993. Dr. Wingo practiced with Warren Clinics Pediatrics group in Stillwater, OK, for approximately eight years after completing residency.

In 2001, Dr. Wingo left Warren Clinics to work with her family with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention as career missionaries in South America. She worked with native Bolivians in the Andes of Bolivia for over six years, then worked with residents in poverty-stricken areas of smaller cities in Brazil for over four years before returning to the USA.

Dr. Wingo worked in general pediatrics in a community health center for two years before joining the CI Pediatrics team this year. She enjoys all of general pediatrics, but takes special interest in helping parents learn how to better the lives of children and their entire families. Seeing children grow and thrive fuels her enthusiasm for her career. In her free time, Dr. Wingo enjoys playing games with her family, making popcorn on the stove, and really amateur photography.
