Google Reviews of Our Pediatric Clinic

Patrick Dugger was absolutely incredible with my little boy through his assessment and diagnosis process. He really took his time with him and listened to both of us, and I truly felt like my concerns were heard and validated. He genuinely cares about his patients and their well being, and he's going to tailor his approach so that your child has the tools to thrive. If you have a child who has a need for medication and you're concerned about them becoming "zombies," this is the provider to see. The first thing he did when we sat down was assure us that preventing that is of the utmost importance to him and that he's committed to finding the right treatment plan for the child. I have seen countless psychiatric providers for my older child with profound support needs and I have never left a first appointment feeling as encouraged and secure in knowing my child is in the best possible hands as I did with Patrick.
I love Dr Dupont. She explains what she is doing to the child and the parent. Staff is friendly and helpful. I will continue to take my grandson to Children's International..I trust Dr Dupont.
Professional, Kind, and Courteous!!!
We have been working with Patrick Dugger for over 2 years. We started with his father. Patrick worked with my child thru numerous types of medications until we were finally able to find what worked for him. He always asks questions and talks directly to my son to allow him to feel like he’s part of the process not just listening to the grown ups talk about him. We are comfortable that everything that should be done is being done. We highly recommend C I P.
I’ve been bringing my children there for about 2 1/2 years and it is truly a blessing to have a staff that cares and understands your children and is not there just for a paycheck but help meet the needs for my family Once again, I say it’s been truly a blessing!
Muy buen servicio y la pediatra habla español.
this review is about two years overdue. we moved and had to find a new pediatrician. NO ONE can compare to Dr. Dupont ! she was the best pediatrician my son has ever had. even if my concerns seemed outlandish as a first time mom. she never disregarded me or made me feel silly. she addressed them and reassured me as to why my concern was just my mom brain playing tricks on me. amazing Dr
Great staff.. thorough doctor..

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PEDIATRICIANS

What Is A Pediatrician?

Pediatricians are doctors who manage the health of your child, including physical, behavior, and mental health issues. They’re trained to diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, from minor health problems to serious diseases.

Pediatricians have an education that gives them special skills to take care of your child’s health. They graduated from medical school and completed a 3-year residency program in pediatrics before working as a pediatrician in a pediatric clinic.

What Does A Pediatrician Do?

They’ll see your child many times from birth to age 2 and once a year from ages 2 to 5 for “well-child visits.” After age 5, your pediatrician will continue to see your child every year for annual checkups (aka well visits). They’re also the first person you should call when your child is sick.

To take care of your child, your pediatrician will:

  • Do physical exams
  • Give your child vaccinations
  • Make sure your child meets milestones in growth, behavior, and skills
  • Diagnose and treat your child’s illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health problems
  • Give you information about your child’s health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs
  • Answer your questions about your little one’s growth and development
  • Refer you to specialists if they think your child needs expert care.

Does My Child Need A Pediatrician?

Some reasons why your child needs a pediatrician are:

  • They have years of special training in children’s health.
  • They only see children in their practice, so they have a lot of experience in recognizing and treating childhood illnesses.
  • If your child was born early or has a health condition that needs close monitoring, a pediatrician may offer more specialized care.

How Much Education Does A Pediatrician Get?

They need to complete four years of college, then four years of medical school, and then three or more years in an accredited residency program for pediatricians. A pediatrician must first graduate from medical school before going on to specialize in the field of pediatrics.
