Dr. Cornel Jeansonne is a board certified pediatrician. He graduated from LSU with a major in Zoology and then attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans where he graduated in 1977. He later did his residency in Pediatrics through LSU at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. After his residency, Dr. Jeansonne served in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years as a Pediatrician at Loring Air Force Base in northern Maine with the rank of Major.
After leaving the Air Force, he established a General Pediatrics practice in Chalmette. He practiced in Chalmette for 21 years and then joined Children’s International Medical Group® as the group’s first General Pediatrician. He enjoys taking care of children of all ages from birth to young adulthood, and takes special pleasure in watching his patients grow. Dr. Jeansonne has a passion for the treatment of ADD/ADHD.
In May of 2015 Dr. Jeansonne accepted the position on Interim Chief Medical Officer. As Chief Medical Officer he will work closely with CIMG’s executive team where he will serve as a member of the Advisory Board.
